Blonde Ambition

Ohh Ajak Deng, aside from being one of very few recognisable models of colour doing it big on the catwalks this season(and the past three), she's also the inspiration behind my decision to finally go blonde, and to be fairly honest I'm quite miffed that she went back to black for LFW.. anyhow these polaroids of her completely sold me on the whole blonde thing..

See more videos on modelinia.com
she's a really close friend in my head so I'm sure she doesn't mind the fact that I copied her..
coat; Asos/ t-shirt; H&M/ shorts; Beyond Retro
(I don't know if my right eye's really small or if my left eye is just unnecessarily big, it's quite distressing to be honest)
I'd like to take this moment to thank Eve for looking like this way back when I thought short hair was only for boys and people with ringworm..

The Gentlewoman

Happy New Year m'lords and ladies! I would like to decree that this is the year of the Gentlewoman,
Def.

gentle·woman (jent'l wo̵om′ən)
noun pl. gentlewomen -·wom′en (-wim′in)
  1. OBSOLETE a woman born into a family of high social standing; lady
  2. a courteous, gracious, considerate woman
  3. HISTORICAL a woman in attendance on a lady of rank
Origin: ME gentil womman

My goal as a Gentlewoman is to remain positive and producing as opposed to negative an consuming at all times. I have faith that the next time I'm saying happy new year I'll be doing it with a bunch of amazing accomplishments under my chastity belt!
I've began as I mean to go on with a trip to Claridge's for tea, champagne, scones and cucumber sammiches.. if this isn't the perfect example of gentlewoman tings then i don't know what is guys..
I know if i'm steadfast in my gentlewomanity, by the end of the year i'll be a real-life, self-made Serena Van Der Woodsen (bar all the fuckery she's always embroiled in..)
"man why cant life always be this easy?"

Grey-Marl-Chiffon-Jersey

Being king of the urbanites, it was only a matter of time before Alexander Wang's S/S10 collection received the highstreet treatment, and got knocked-off for we poor cretins.. We for whom running our fingers over beautifully over-locked jersey seams is but a mere dream *dribbles*
i know how salty some people get about fakes and i understand no one wants a Samantha-Fake-Fendi-esque fiasco, but in this case i really think ASOS have done a good job!Besides its still a recession.. therefore making it hard out here for a pimp to pay rent, let alone buy garms for a wardrobe update
Topshop and Nastygal both have commendable versions..

ps.as tempted as i am to go raglan/marl/chiffon crazy i have one reserve about these knock-offs and it involves this..
..i just know the streets of London will be saturated with those sloreish *Watermelon Dance Studios kids trying to flash maximum skin whilst doing their best Jennifer-Beals and Irene Kara's :[
