Heaux Couture

I only just realised I hadn't yet posted these pictures I took before my best friend's birthday party a couple of weekends ago, which is naughty of me because I was really eager to show you guys what my dress code usually is for a night of drinking and twerking with my beloveds!
My formula goes a bit like this; plenty of leg, stretchy fabric, no boob on show and a high heel-if you're my friend on fb you've probably seen the dress version of this formula and rightfully judged me!
I'm one of those people that hates mother nature for being so abundant when she was handing me my hips and things, but every once in a while it's nice to take a break from trying to lipo-suct myself with kitchen utensils and leave the house looking like one of those rap guys' girlfriends!

WLTM

If like me you were sent into a mini-depression after replaying this video on a loop, wondering when it'd be your turn to find true love on these here hopeless internets?! then you need to head to The Ones To Watch and check out the story of model couple Harry and Leomie, shot by photographer Kevin Morosky.. ttyl guys I think I'm about to tailspin into a manic episode.

"Harry saw Leomie for the first time while watching the Channel 4 documentary series The Model Agency. He turned to his mother and declared that Leomie was the girl he wanted to marry. After much e-stalking, Harry managed to woo Leomie via Twitter. They have been together ever since. Harry’s mum is still in shock."

DIY: Clavicle Chocker

After becoming covetously obsessed with 'clavicle-chokers' (I'm not sure how legitimate the term is but it makes sense to me so don't judge me) I went on a futile search for a simple yet chunky necklace that settled on my clavicles, something a little statement-y but still delicate so as not to completely distract from the gold crucifix I'm always wearing. How surprised was I when I didn't find anything fitting this precise profile? not very, so I dived into my box of tricks, played around for an hour with the bits I found et voila.. a braided piece with skull connectors!

The pictures are pretty self-explanatory I hope, if not you can email me.
I used a metre of open-link curb chain (the links measure 5 x 7mm), screw clasps, skull charms, also I used loose links from the chain instead of jump rings.. all this stuff can be found on ebay or etsy so there's no excuse why you can't give it a go!

took these shots really quick before heading out, I'll take better ones next time I wear it promise!

The Winner Is...

being that I'm partial to a bit of understated glamour, it's probably no surprise that Rihanna's ensemble was my absolute favourite of the night. I'm in love with how perfectly executed this look is.. the simple dress cut to perfection and her glowing skin decorated with glinting bits of gold? GIVE HER ALL THE AWARDS, NOOOOW.

Flatforms

I'm a teeny bit obsessed with flatforms at the moment, with these 'match point's from Office having particularly caught my eye. I imagine them on my feet and on my shoe rack so I'm currently trying to convince myself I need them. At £25 they cost next to nothing meaning I could buy them, wear them once, decided I hate them, shove them under my bed and pretend they don't exist.. but I'm forever rationalising -> spending -> regretting -> forgetting and in the back of my head running down lists of how many oreo krushems, chai tea latte's, chicken mcnuggets, eyebrow threadings, acrylic refills, etc etc etc the money could, and more importantly should have covered. So anywehdoh black or white? I'm rather taken with the white.
